Service
Warranty and aftercare
The handover is not the end of it. Cover, servicing and protection are arranged alongside the car rather than sold to you at the counter on the day.
Manufacturer cover first
Where a car is young enough to still hold its manufacturer warranty, that is the cover you want and we will tell you exactly how much of it is left. We check the remaining term and any outstanding recalls before the car reaches you, and the answer goes in writing with the rest of the inspection.
Some manufacturers also offer an approved used extension. Where that is available and worth having on the car in question, we will say so.
Where the manufacturer cover has run out
Beyond that point we arrange third party cover. There is a wide range in quality here and a wide range in price, and the cheap policies are cheap because of what they exclude. We will talk you through what a policy actually covers, what the claim limit is, and where you can have the work done.
We do not insist on it. If you would rather carry the risk yourself on a car with good history, that is a reasonable position and we will not push a policy on you.
- Remaining manufacturer term confirmed before you travel
- Outstanding recalls checked and reported
- Third party cover arranged where you want it
- Servicing booked with a specialist or main dealer
- Ceramic coating and paint protection film on request
Servicing and protection
We can have a car serviced, MOT'd and protected before it reaches you, so it arrives ready rather than needing a week of appointments. Paint protection film and ceramic coating are worth doing on a car you intend to keep, and are best done before the car has been driven.
Everything here is quoted separately and itemised. It is never rolled into the price of the car.
