What this site collects

This website has no contact form, no account system, no advertising and no analytics. It sets no cookies. Visiting it does not create a record of you beyond the standard server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability, which are deleted automatically.

What we collect when you contact us

If you email or call us, we hold what you give us: your name, your contact details, the vehicle you are enquiring about and anything else you choose to tell us. If you go on to buy or sell a car, we also hold the paperwork the transaction requires, including identity and address documents where the law obliges us to check them.

Why we hold it and for how long

We hold enquiry information to answer your enquiry and to carry out the work you have asked us to do. That is our legitimate interest as a business you have approached, and where a contract follows, it is necessary to perform that contract.

Enquiries that do not lead anywhere are deleted within twelve months. Records relating to a completed sale or purchase are kept for six years, which is the period UK tax and consumer law requires.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information to anybody. We share it only where a transaction requires it: with a finance provider you have asked us to approach, with a transport company delivering your car, with the DVLA, and with our accountants and professional advisers.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not legally obliged to keep it, and object to us holding it at all. Write to the email address below and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
